Alien Syndrome
Classic re-hashing, prequels, sequels, and retakes have always been a safe bet for publishers to get gamers interested (or re-interested) in a franchise. In this case, Sega is refueling the fire that Alien Syndrome; a game that was a classic run-and-gun action game on past-prime consoles, which featured 2D sprites. The new game, now slated for the Wii and PSP, is a 3D action-RPG title that features tons of gameplay options, character enhancements, weapons and enemies.

This, however, is not to be confused with the recent announcement ...

Lumines 2
Music has always been a big part of the gaming industry. Games are sometimes corner stoned in the history books for a composer’s amazing soundtrack alone. In some cases, however, games go in the history books for their compilation of great music and excellent gameplay alike. Lumines for the PSP is one of the best-selling games for Sony’s handheld system, combining an excellent soundtrack with puzzle strategy at arcade speeds, was nothing less than a great success for Q Entertainment. Now Q Entertainment is at it again with ...

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
The three letters ‘G’ ‘T’ ‘A’ are almost synonymous with controversy...and it's likewise a guarantee to keep Rockstar financially afloat in this cutthroat industry. So it only makes sense, coming off the of Liberty City Stories, that Rockstar keep GTA fans satisfied with the fourth installment: Vice City Stories. All the open-ended action, from the gorgeous re-take of the fictional Miami, is now coming to the PSP this fall.

Xiaolin Showdown
If you aren’t familiar with today's popular kids shows, there is one that you probably should be aware of: Xiaolin Showdown. Amongst children of just about all ages, this cartoon is probably most popular at the moment. Ok, I’ll be truthful. It’s not entertaining to children only; I find myself watching this show when I get a chance as well. While that is not the gist of the story here, it is indeed a great cartoon, and it would make an even better video game. Apparently, Konami thinks ...

Guilty Gear Judgement
Guilty Gear isn’t a very long endearing series, although it is a very popular one. More like the rambunctious relative to SNK’s King of Fighter series, Guilty Gear turned the tide of featuring some neat fighting gimmicks, including alternate special moves not seen in many other fighting games. The multiple specials that allowed characters to execute some devastating (and equally cool looking) attacks separated the fighting series from the rest of the herd. PSP owners are now getting a Guilty Gear game with an added adventure mode.

Mortal Kombat: Unchained
Since the arrival of the first arcade game and console version in the early 90s, the Mortal Kombat name has been almost synonymous with the words "fighting" and "game" – when put Almost 15 years later, the series is going deceptively strong with MK: Armageddon due in October. Along with Armageddon, there is a PSP title being developed which is based on the previous console game, Mortal Kombat: Deception.

Mortal Kombat: Unchained is not an all out port, though. I repeat, not a port. While one can ...
